Citrus-Lime is a fast-growing SaaS business providing Cloud POS, an end-to-end retail system designed specifically for independent retailers in the Cycle, Equestrian, and Outdoor sectors. Our platform brings together EPOS, Stock Control, Ecommerce, Supplier Data, Payments, Reporting and more—helping retailers streamline operations, improve customer experience, and grow sustainably.

We are profitable, financially strong, and process over £750 million in customer revenues annually. Since launching Cloud POS in 2018, we’ve transformed independent Cycle retail in the UK and are rapidly expanding in Outdoor and Equestrian. Our next stage of growth is international, with key focus areas in the USA, Canada, and Australia.

At Citrus-Lime, we believe that long-term success comes from building a consistent team of engaged, motivated people. When our customers grow, we grow.

We aim to double our turnover in the next five years, driven heavily by international expansion.

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded Content Manager to build and own our content engine across the full marketing funnel.

This is not a junior writer role.

You’ll be responsible for developing high-quality thought leadership, campaign content and sales enablement materials that support organic growth, outbound activity and revenue generation.

You’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales and Product to translate real retail challenges into clear, credible, commercially sharp content.

We are looking for someone with 3–6 years’ experience who is confident, capable and hungry to grow. Not someone at the start of their career, but someone who wants to step into ownership.

You must be fluent using AI and modern content tooling to elevate quality and productivity, not to shortcut thinking.

Key responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Own and develop the editorial roadmap across the marketing funnel.
  • Identify high-impact topic clusters aligned to SEO, campaign and sales priorities.
  • Plan structured content journeys that move audiences from education through to action.
  • Maintain and manage the content calendar.

Content Creation

Create high-quality content that supports awareness, consideration and conversion.

This includes thought leadership, educational articles, campaign content, customer stories, lead-generation assets and sales-support materials.

The role is responsible for shaping and maintaining the narrative across channels, not simply producing blog posts.

Sales Enablement

  • Develop content assets that support sales conversations and outbound activity.
  • Create event-linked and campaign-linked content that BDMs can actively use.
  • Work with Sales to identify recurring objections, questions and content gaps.
  • Support nurture sequences and post-demo follow-up content.

Content should actively support pipeline generation, not operate in isolation.

Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing on campaign-led messaging.
  • Develop integrated content assets across campaigns, events and launches.
  • Ensure messaging remains consistent with brand tone and postitioning.

Multi-format Content Capability

We don’t expect a full production skillset, but the ability to work comfortably across formats is important.

This may include:

  • Contributing to webinar content and presentation development.
  • Supporting podcast themes and show notes.
  • Writing scripts or outlines for short-form video.
  • Repurposing long-form content into social, email and other channels.

The emphasis is on clear narrative and message consistency, not production expertise.

Technology & AI Fluency

You should be comfortable using modern tools to increase the quality, reach and efficiency of content.

This includes:

  • Using AI responsibly to support research, ideation, drafting and refinement.
  • Using SEO and analytics tools to identify opportunities and improve performance.
  • Building content around strong “source material”, such as webinars, interviews or events, and scaling it into multiple assets (articles, clips, social posts, email content and more).
  • Continuously improving content workflows and processes.

AI should be treated as an accelerator of quality content, not a replacement for judgement or originality.

Collaboration & Ownership

  • Actively collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product and other internal teams.
  • Take ownership of deadlines and outputs.
  • Be proactive in identifying content opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently across the business.

Experience:
  • 3–6 years in content marketing, editorial or B2B marketing roles.
  • Experience creating content that supports lead generation and commercial outcomes.
  • Exposure to campaign-led marketing.
  • Experience contributing to video, podcast or webinar content.
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently.

Skills:
  • Strong writer with excellent editorial judgement.
  • Clear, structured thinker.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Commercially aware. Understands the difference between content and pipeline.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas internally.
  • Confident managing multiple projects.

What we offer:
  • Full time position based in Manchester City Centre.
  • Starting salary of £39,000 – £45,000, depending on expierence.
  • 31 days’ holiday, including bank holidays and time off at Christmas.
  • Company healthcare covering private diagnosis and treatment, Optical and Dental care.
  • Rapid salary progression for those who demonstrate and work and ability.
  • Work alongside passionate and experienced people.
  • A meritocratic environment that demonstrably rewards results.
