New search suggestions powered by your site’s facet navigation
When a customer starts typing into your search bar, what do they see?
With our latest Ecommerce enhancement, Cloud POS Ecommerce customers can now showcase intelligent, real-time search suggestions. These suggestions are powered directly by your store’s facet navigation.
This means for example, if a customer types “bikes”, they’ll instantly see structured, relevant suggestions like Road Bikes, Electric Bikes or Mountain Bikes. Breadcrumb-style labels also show exactly where each section sits in your site’s navigation, helping customers find what they’re looking for faster.
A clear “Search for…” button is also included, giving customers the option to continue with a traditional keyword search if they prefer.
Powered by facet navigation, not just categories
Unlike traditional search tools that rely on fixed category lists, this feature uses your facet navigation – the structured filters and pathways customers already use to shop.
That means:
- Suggestions are aligned with how your store is organised.
- There’s no additional merchandising or manual setup required.
- Suggestions automatically stay up to date as you update your site’s navigation.
A smoother, faster way to browse, especially on mobile
Menus can be tricky on smaller screens. With smart suggestions in the search bar, mobile shoppers can go straight to the right section with minimal effort.
What if they want to see full search results? A tap on the “Search for…” button gets them there.
